Kids’s Yoga Classes:
Yoga
Kids’ Yoga classes at Soaring Dance Theatre are all about creative, dynamic and fun experiences while safely learning the breath work and poses of yoga. We offer a group class for 6-12 year olds at our studio in Monroe, NY.
Each class will have a theme of the day which will be explored through games and partner work. Children will experience the value of stillness during relaxation and meditation. A focus on the breath is woven through each class, as knowing how to shift your breath offers our students a foundation for personal well-being and responsibility.
It is our goal that through the Kids’ Yoga classes, all students will gain the knowledge, tools and desire to build a lifetime of health and wellness through the practice of yoga.
Children’s Yoga Classes are held Tuesdays, from 4:30-5:15pm
Gentle Yoga Classes:
Gentle Yoga at Soaring Dance Theatre is an inclusive practice for all ages, bodies and levels of yoga experience. We offer a group class at our studio in Monroe, NY.
Each class will offer slow, rhythmic movement to soothe and relax the nervous system. We will focus on releasing tension as we connect with our breath, all the while increasing our strength, range of motion and balance through a variety of yoga poses. Our Gentle Yoga class is a slower paced class that still offers all the benefits of yoga.
The Gentle Yoga class will provide the student with understanding of alignment and balance in the body and an experience of relaxation and inner harmony.
Gentle Yoga Classes are held Tuesdays, from 5:30-6:30pm
